When & where

The conference will be held in Lillehammer, Norway at the Scandic Lillehammer Hotel, February 15th – 17th 2023. The conference will start at 3 PM Wednesday February 15th and ends at 2.00 PM Friday February 17th.

Lillehammer is 1 hours 40 minutes north of Oslo International Airport by train or car. Trains depart 59 minutes past every hour from the airport to Lillehammer. You may buy your ticket on www.vy.no, on the railway station at the airport or on the train (extra charge apply on-board the train).

Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with ICDE - International Council For Open And Distance Education. Technical organizers is Centre for Lifelong Learning at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences.

Accommodation

The whole conference will be at Scandic Lillehammer Hotel where the hotel has been booked for participants at conference. The Prices at the conference per night per person incl. breakfast is for:

  • Single room: 1150 NOK
  • Double room: 1350 NOK

How to get to the conference?

If you fly to Norway, we recommend you take the train that runs from the airport (Oslo Lufthavn). You may buy train tickets online at vy.no/en, at the train station or onboard the train itself. The train to Lillehammer runs every hour at 59 minutes past the hour and takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes. If you depart the airport on 15 February with the train leaving at 12.59, we have set up buses running from the Lillehammer railway station (departing at 14.50) to Scandic Lillehammer Hotel. If you come by train from Trondheim, we have also set up buses for the train arriving in Lillehammer at 15.00 (buses will depart at 15.05). If you arrive at a different time, we recommend taking a taxi from the train station to Scandic Lillehammer Hotel (address: Turisthotellveien 6).

Cancellation policy

All cancellations must be sent to LLLConference@inn.no no later than February 1st. Cancellations until this date will be refunded, minus a processing fee of NOK 500,- Cancellation after February 1st or no-show at the conference will not be refunded

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do the organizers have any funding of the conference fee? 

A: Unfortunately, we do not have any funding for travel costs or complimentary conference fees. I recommend you to search funding locally or on a national level. Wish you well in this search and hope to see you in Lillehammer in February! 

 

Q: When registering, I am asked for a promotional code? 

A: The promotional code is mainly for our keynote speakers that receive a complementary registration. You can just leave this box blanc. 

 

Q: I am having problem booking a room at Scandic Victora Hotel. What may be the problem?

A: At the Scandic Victoria Hotel you can only book online for the night of February 15 and 16. If you want to add nights before or after the conference, you may do so either at Scandic Lillehammer Hotel or if you want to stay at the Scandic Victoria Hotel, please contact the hotel directly and refer to booking code BHOG130223 and the Lillehammer Lifelong Learning ICDE Conference. Available rooms can not be guaranteed.

Q: Can I present online? 

A: Our goal is to create a meeting place in Lillehammer where lifelong learning professionals from all of the world meet, learn and share. So there must be very special circumstance for us open up for online presentations. I hope you will be able to make it in person and to see you in Lillehammer in February! 

 

Q: Is it possible to pay by bank transfer or invoice? 

A: Unfortunately we only accept online payment through Visa or Mastercard/EuroCard. I hope that will work also for you and your institution.
