Building on the Lillehammer Lifelong Learning Roadmap 2023–2027, the conference will focus on how lifelong learning systems can adapt to a rapidly changing world - from digital transformation and demographic shifts to evolving labour market needs and climate action.
The ICDE Prize of Excellence 2025 for Institutions was awarded Centre for Lifelong Learning at The University of Inland Norway at the ICDE World Conference 2025 in New Zealand.
Lillehammer Lifelong Learning ICDE Conference goes online!
Instead of the planned in-person event in Lillehammer, the conference will be held online on Tuesday, 16 February 2027.
A new format will make the conference more accessible and affordable to an even broader international audience, while continuing to explore perspectives on lifelong learning for employability and a sustainable future.
We remain fully committed to the conference's thematic profile and international ambitions. By moving to a digital format, we will be able to extend the conference's reach, welcome participants from across the world, and create a more accessible and inclusive platform for sharing knowledge and experiences in lifelong learning.
The programme will bring together international keynote speakers and contributions from research, practice, policy and working life, exploring how lifelong learning can contribute to employability, inclusion and a sustainable future.
